Privacy Scentech-app

This page describes how the Scentech app handles your data. It supplements our general privacy policy, which also applies to the app. The web shop and the app share one customer account.

Use of the Scentech app and your diffuser

When you use the Scentech app, we receive the settings of the diffusers you have paired with it: the model and software version, whether the diffuser is on or off, the chosen intensity and the programmed schedule (days and times). This happens while the app is connected to your diffuser. If you are logged in to the app, we link this data to your customer account; if you are not, we store it with a random identifier of your app installation. We link it to your customer details once you log in or place an order through the app. We use this data to estimate how much fragrance you use, to help and inform you in time (for example when your fragrance is running low), to improve our products and service, and to tailor our communication to how you use the product. We do not sell this data. You can request access to it or have it deleted via sil@scentech.store.

Other data the app uses

  • Email address: to log in and show your orders.
  • App installation identifier: to recognise your app and, if you allow it, send push notifications.
  • Order history: to show your orders and fragrances in the app.
  • Report a problem: when you report a problem in the app, we send your description together with a technical summary (model and software version of your diffuser, phone type and operating system, app version and your settings) so that we can help you.

Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account yourself in the app: go to Account, tap the gear icon (Settings) and choose Delete account. We then erase your app data (paired diffusers, settings and usage data) and request the deletion of your customer data in our web shop. No longer have the app? Email sil@scentech.store from the email address of your account; we handle your request within 30 days. You can request access to your data at the same address.
